Stages of ovarian cancer are: Stage IA The tumor is present in only one ovary, and is confined to the inside of that ovary. Stage IB The tumor is present in both ovaries, and is confined to the inside of both ovaries. Stage IC The tumor is present on the outer surfaces of one or both ovaries. Stage IIA The tumor has spread into the uterus and/or the Fallopian tubes. Stage IIB The tumor has spread into other pelvic organs, such as the bladder, colon, or rectum. Stage IIC The tumor has spread into other pelvic organs such as the uterus, the Fallopian tubes, bladder, colon, or rectum. The tumor is present on the outer surfaces in one or both ovaries. Stage IIIA Small amounts of cancer cell have spread into parts of the abdomen. Stage IIIB Cancer cells of less than 2 centimeters are present in the abdomen. Stage IIIC Cancer cells of more than 2 centimeters are present in the abdomen, or the tumor has spread into nearby lymph nodes. Stage IV The tumor has spread into other parts of the body.
